Travel: Morocco goodbye

A holiday in Marrakesh, Morocco is full of colour, culture and sweat and it’s marvellous. Our last day was jam packed…

We visited the Marjorelle Gardens first thing. They are cool and relaxing although not there is not the plant variety you see in other gardens. I loved the Monet type pond…

The gardens contain an Yves Saint Laurent memorial as he restored the min later life…

There were a lot of cacti …

Then we took a trip to the Atlas Mountains. There were some amazing views…

Whilst in the mountains we visited a Berber village market. Berber’s are the people who live in the mountains and they speak their own language (not Arabic) and have their own traditions.

Onions anyone…

Spices…
Then we had lunch by a beautiful fresh water river in the mountains…

I even had a little paddle in the river…

And finally we headed back to our Riad and chilled out by the pool…

What a trip! Go visit Marrakesh, there is so much to see. Check the hot times of year before you go though in August it hits 50 degrees!!
